The majority of healthy men and women with active lifestyles are good candidates for hair restoration procedures. Our patients report a significant increase in self-esteem and confidence after their hair restoration surgery. Young men and women who started to notice hair loss in their early twenties are especially grateful to have their own natural hair restored.
Hair transplant is considered a cosmetic procedure and is not covered by insurance. At Dr. Demetri Hair Restoration, we also offer financing through our partnership with CareCredit.
Yes, the hair used in our restoration process is your own natural hair. The transplanted hair follicles grow in the same way as your existing hair. With our specialized technique, you can enjoy any activity you enjoyed leading up to your procedure again.
“Great doctor. I felt comfortable talking to him. Everything was straight forward and went exactly like he explained it. I am very happy with the results. I would recommend Dr. Demetri to a friend.”

Believe it or not, recovery after a hair transplant is usually very quick. Most patients experience minimal discomfort, usually when they are sleeping from pressure to the scalp. We encourage all of our patients to take extra strength Tylenol for discomfort. About 7-10 days after your hair restoration procedure, the tiny scabs will shed and your scalp should return to its normal look and feel.
We recommend all of our male patients use our signature topical compounded medical formulation which includes finasteride (Propecia), minoxidil (Rogaine) and retinoic acid. Unfortunately, some men report they cannot take oral finasteride due to the sexual side effects. As such, we have worked with a local pharmacy to develop a topical version, along with a couple other modifications. We have anecdotally seen similar efficacy compared to the oral version without the sexual side effects.
In addition, we offer platelet rich plasma (PRP) injections. PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma, a substance natural to your body. Plasma makes up a large portion of our blood along with red blood cells, white cells, and platelets. Platelets are responsible for clotting your blood – your body’s way of preventing blood loss after sustaining an injury. But platelets contain hundreds of proteins called growth factors. These growth factors play a role in healing injuries. Studies show that these growth factors enhance the healing process in many medical conditions. These growth factors interact with hair follicles and help restore them to a healthier state.
