Earlobe repair is a common in-office procedure that Dr. Demetri performs for patients who wants to make their lobes smaller or repair enlarged earring holes. This only requires local anesthesia and can be performed in his brand new office. After many years of wearing earrings with different size and weight, the earlobe can become stretched out. Other times, the ear lobe can be injured during trauma.
Dr. Demetri is meticulous with this procedure. He will remove the right amount of skin and soft tissue to leave you with a naturally appearing ear lobe. Very fine sutures are used to make sure there is minimal to no scar. He will remove those sutures in about 5-6 days typically. After about 6 weeks following the procedure, he will allow his patients to re-pierce their ears.
